Terms of Service

Effective date: September 2026 • Last updated: September 2026

1. Nature of the Service

Toolra (https://toolra.site) provides free, web-based utilities designed to help users merge, split, extract, compress, convert, and format PDF documents, images, and text.

All file processing operations are executed client-side directly within your browser’s runtime memory. The service acts as an interactive client-side tool and does not maintain, store, or transmit your files across a server network.

2. User Content & Ownership Responsibilities

You retain all rights, copyright, and title to the documents, images, and text you load into the service. By using this platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You possess all necessary legal rights, permissions, or licenses required to process, modify, merge, or convert the documents or media files you select.
  • You are solely responsible for the legality, integrity, and safety of the content you process.
  • You will not use the service to process or distribute defamatory, infringing, malicious, or unlawful material.

3. Hardware & Browser Processing Limitations

Because file manipulation occurs locally in your device's memory rather than on remote server clusters, performance and file handling capacity depend on:

  • Available device RAM and processor capabilities.
  • Browser memory limits (for example, very large PDFs exceeding several hundred megabytes may exhaust browser tab memory on mobile devices).
  • Browser support for HTML5 Canvas, WebAssembly, and modern JavaScript standards.

Users are advised to keep backup copies of original files before performing modifications.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to attempt to disrupt, compromise, or overload the application infrastructure, reverse-engineer any proprietary elements, or exploit the client-side code in violation of applicable laws.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied. While we strive to maintain high accuracy and reliable document parsing, we make no guarantee that processing will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet specific regulatory compliance standards for your particular use case.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Toolra and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, including data corruption or loss of profits.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of Toolra following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
